    Full Terms of Service

    1

    Who Can Use My Invoice

You must be at least 18 years old and use My Invoice for a business. My Invoice is built for businesses in the United States and is not offered outside the United States.

    2

    What My Invoice Is

My Invoice is software for creating invoices and estimates, scanning receipts, managing clients and projects, sending reminders and collecting payments.

My Invoice is not a bank, a payment processor, an accountant, a tax advisor or a law firm. Nothing in the app is financial, tax or legal advice.

    3

    Your Account

You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done under your account, including by people you add to it. Tell us right away if you think your account was accessed without your permission.

    4
    Important

    Plans, Pricing and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, either monthly or yearly, at the price shown on our pricing page or in the app when you subscribe. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

All plan fees are non-refundable. This includes fees for the current billing period, unused time after you cancel or downgrade, and unused features. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and then does not renew.

We may change plan prices or features. We will give you at least 14 days' notice before a price change applies to your next renewal. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it renews.

Subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and cancelled through that store and are also subject to its rules. Taxes, where they apply, are added to the price.

If a payment fails, we may retry it, limit your plan, or suspend paid features until it is paid.

    Important

    Payments From Your Customers

My Invoice lets you collect payments from your own customers through Stripe. Payments are processed by Stripe, not by My Invoice. To accept payments you must create or connect a Stripe account and agree to Stripe's own terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.

The charge is made on your own Stripe account. The sale is between you and your customer. My Invoice is not a party to it.

    • Platform fee: My Invoice keeps a 1% platform fee on payments collected through My Invoice. The fee is taken from each payment automatically and is not refundable, even if the payment is later refunded or disputed.
    • Processing fees: Stripe charges its own processing fees to your Stripe account. They are set by Stripe and are separate from our 1% fee.
    • Payouts: Stripe decides when funds are paid out to your bank account and may hold, delay or reserve funds. My Invoice does not control payouts.
    • Your accounts: You may only connect bank accounts and Stripe accounts that belong to your business.
    6
    Important

    Advance Payments, Deposits and Installments

You can ask your customers for advance payments, deposits, milestone payments and installments. These are agreements between you and your customer.

My Invoice does not hold your customers' money, does not guarantee any payment, and does not refund advance payments, deposits or installments. Any refund is decided by you, from your own Stripe account, under your own refund policy. You are responsible for stating that policy clearly on your invoices, estimates and terms.

    7
    Important

    Disputes, Chargebacks and Refunds

You are solely responsible for any dispute, chargeback, refund or claim between you and your customer, or between you and a card issuer, bank or Stripe. This includes the amount, any dispute fees, and the evidence needed to respond.

Because payments run through Stripe and your own Stripe account, disputes and refunds are taken from your Stripe balance. My Invoice is not responsible for them, for the outcome, or for any loss they cause you. We cannot reverse, win or settle a dispute for you.

We may share relevant records with Stripe or authorities if they ask for them.

    8

Your Content and Your Customers' Data

You own the content you put into My Invoice, including your clients' details, invoices, estimates and receipts. You give us a limited license to store, process and display it only to run and improve My Invoice for you, including de-identified and aggregated statistics.

You are responsible for having the right to store and use your customers' information and for following the laws that apply to you. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

    9

    Your Invoices, Prices and Taxes

You are responsible for everything on the documents you create and send, including amounts, descriptions, sales tax, 1099 and other tax duties, and the terms you agree with your customers. My Invoice does not check them for you. Tax rates and templates in the app are tools, not advice.

    10

    Emails, Text Messages and Reminders

When you send invoices, estimates or payment reminders through My Invoice, we send them on your behalf. You are responsible for having your customers' permission to contact them, for honoring opt-outs, and for following laws such as the CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Message and data rates from carriers may apply.

    11

    AI Features

My Invoice includes AI tools, such as receipt scanning, text rewriting and the assistant. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check every result before you save, send or rely on it. You are responsible for anything you send or any action you approve.

    12

    Third-Party Services

My Invoice works with services run by others, such as Stripe, Google, Apple, and email and text providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their outages, errors, fees, policies or terms. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

    13

    Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • use My Invoice for anything illegal, fraudulent or misleading, or to bill for goods or services you do not provide
    • use it for businesses or activities that Stripe or the app stores prohibit
    • send spam or messages without permission
    • try to break, probe, overload, copy or scrape the service, or get around its limits or security
    • access another person's account or data
    14

    Our Property

My Invoice, including the software, design, logos and brand, belongs to us. You get a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use it under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely without paying you.

    15

    Service Changes and Availability

We work to keep My Invoice available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or remove features, and we may start or end beta features at any time.

    16

    Ending Your Account

You can cancel your plan or delete your account at any time from the app or by contacting us. Cancelling does not give a refund (see section 4).

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if a payment fails, if we suspect fraud or misuse, if Stripe or the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should continue, including fees, disputes, liability, indemnity and governing law, continue after your account ends.

    17

    Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, My Invoice is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including for accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that it will meet your needs. We do not guarantee that any customer will pay you, or that any payment will succeed.

    18
    Important

    Limit of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, My Invoice is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for any unpaid invoice or lost sale.

Our total liability for any claim related to My Invoice is limited to the greater of $100 or the plan fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

    19

    Your Responsibility for Claims

You agree to defend and cover My Invoice, and its owners, staff and partners, against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your content, your invoices, your customers, your payments and disputes, your use of My Invoice, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

    20
    Important

    Resolving Disagreements With My Invoice

If you have a problem with My Invoice, contact us first at info@myinvoice.us and give us 60 days to try to fix it.

If we cannot, any claim between you and My Invoice will be decided by binding arbitration on an individual basis, run by the American Arbitration Association under its rules, instead of in court. You and My Invoice each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing info@myinvoice.us.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any claim that is not arbitrated, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

    21

    Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last Updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using My Invoice after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.

    22

    General

These Terms, with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and My Invoice about the service. If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account or rights without our written consent. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization.

    Quick answers

Billing, refunds and payment disputes: your questions

    Are MyInvoice subscription plans refundable?

No. Plans are billed in advance and plan fees are non-refundable, including the current billing period and unused time after you cancel or downgrade. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and then does not renew.

How much does MyInvoice charge on customer payments?

MyInvoice keeps a 1% platform fee on payments collected through the app. Stripe also charges its own card processing fees to your Stripe account. The two are separate.

Who handles chargebacks and payment disputes?

You do. Payments are made on your own Stripe account, so disputes, chargebacks and refunds are taken from your Stripe balance and settled between you, your customer and Stripe. MyInvoice is not a party to the sale and cannot win or settle a dispute for you.

Does MyInvoice refund advance payments or deposits my customers make?

No. Advance payments, deposits and installments go to your Stripe account, not to MyInvoice. Any refund is decided by you under your own refund policy, which you should state on your invoices, estimates and terms.

Can I cancel my invoicing app subscription at any time?

Yes. You can cancel your plan or delete your account at any time from the app or by contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund fees already paid.

Does MyInvoice hold my customers' money?

No. Stripe processes the payment and pays out to your bank account. MyInvoice is software, not a bank or a payment processor, and Stripe decides when payouts happen.

Which law and courts apply to MyInvoice?

Pennsylvania and United States law. Claims are decided by individual arbitration instead of court, with an option to opt out within 30 days of accepting the Terms and a small claims court exception.
